As you may know, EIF-services has switched to FreeCAD for its 3D modeling needs. Here are two examples that we intend to use in the near future for comparing various model (e.g. OpenFOAM  and Basilisk) and turbulence closures (e.g. RANS and LES) on a physically firm ground (external benchmarks).

The goal here will be to extend our previous study, which was mainly 2D. For LES turbulence closure, we'll probably have to rent HPC capabilities (AWS). The results will be compared to engineering state of the art under Eurocode 1: Actions on
structures - Part 1-4: General actions - Wind actions.
